Sadly, the one thing that every human being has in common is that unfortunately at some point we will pass away. It’s never an easy subject to talk about, but it’s something I am sure most of us have thought about at some point in our lives.

Speaking from personal experience there have been quite a few members of my family who have sadly passed away, some were expected, and some were an absolute shock.

It is really difficult to deal with grief at the best of times, but when you suddenly loose somebody really close to you, it is so very painful.

Unfortunately for me 2006 was an awful year as sadly as well as loosing my precious mum, my father in law and my husband’s grandmother also passed away. It was a really awful time and now 3 years on I am still nowhere near getting over loosing my lovely mum.

It is peculiar, but sometimes even now when the telephone rings, I still think it’s going to be mum ringing me to tell me some gossip about my sister or brother or one of their kids. We used to have such a giggle, and even though she could be strict, she was always fair with it. I couldn’t have asked for a nicer mum and if I had my time all over again with her, I wouldn’t change one single thing.

A short time ago my sister got hitched and although we had a wonderful day, it was always going to be tinged with sadness that our mum couldn’t be with us all.

I caught up with my sister a few weeks after her wedding and as we were talking about things, she told me that she had worn some of mum’s jewellery on her wedding day and I told her that I had too.

Mum owned some beautiful silver bracelets and her collection of silver rings was absolutely amazing. For me though her silver necklaces are the most precious and I always try to make sure I wear a different one each day. It makes me feel close to mum at all times, and always proud to have been her daughter.

Parents often worry that the toys they buy their children are not safe. They are right to be concerned as dangerous toys can and have caused serious harm to lots of children, although thankfully with improving toy regulations, instances are on the decrease. However, parents still need to be careful and below we highlight some of the important things to look out for to ensure toys are safe.

Sharp edges. Many toys that you might not consider to be a risk can have sharp edges that are potentially harmful. It is quite common for children to roll around with their toys or run with them, making it very easy to be caught by a sharp edge and even cut themselves badly.

Small parts. This is probably the most well known hazard of childrens toys. Because of their inquisitive nature, children often put small things in their mouth and can sometimes swallow or even choke on them. Sometimes toys don’t have small parts on first inspection, but break up easily due to weak materials and these are equally, if not more dangerous.

Chemicals. Whether it is dangerous chemicals in plastics, harmful fluids in toys, or simply toxins in the paint that they are decorated with, kids can be seriously harmed by inconsiderate materials. Thankfully most toys are tested thouroughly for dangerous chemicals, but some will always slip though the net.

Mechanical Hazards. Many toys appear perfectly safe, but are made potentially dangerous by their ill-though out functioning parts. Good examples of this are toys that have springs or elastic band actions that can release unexpectedly and can potentially harm the eyes. Additionally, toys sometimes have dangerous hinges or gates that children can trap finger in.

All toys and Christmas gifts should comply with the health and safety regulations of their respective countries, so next time youre buying gifts for her or him look out for the endorsement logos on the toys label first.

Christmas, it’s meant to be the time of year where you can relax and spend time with your family. However, it rarely ever is. When you reach the actual day itself it’s fine, however, it’s the run up to the big day that can cause the most stress.

The worst thing about Christmas has to be shopping for everyone and picking gifts for each person. Then once you’ve managed to find what you want, you have to wait in line to pay. All this while being knocked about by crazy customers running past in an attempt to get the last item on the shelf. That is the reason why thousands of people will do all their Christmas shopping online this year.

Although you may have alleviated some of the stress by shopping online, you still must choose what to buy each family member. One of the best things you could buy this year would be a gadget, they have become so popular over the last few years and are still a must have.

Here’s my top five list of gadgets to have this Christmas.

iPod Nano. This latest iPod from Apple brings you the standard MP3 music functions, plus the ability to record video at the touch of a button.

Nintendo DSi. Th DSi is the latest handheld console from Nintendo and this one brings yet more features. Not only does it come with the addition of 2 cameras, but it is also 10% lighter as well as having larger screens.

PSPGo. Another handheld now, this time from Sony. This new PSP is smaller and lighter than previous models. The biggest change for the new PSP is that no discs are required. All the games are downloaded and stored within the internal hard drive.

Tony Hawks Ride. This upcoming game from Tony Hawk will change the way we play skating games. The game features a skateboard shaped Wii Balance Board style controller which brings you the gamer into the game itself.

Logitech’s New G19 Gaming Keyboard. Logitech are the master of all PC gaming items. The recently released gaming keyboard from Logitech, the G19, completely owns the previous G15 model. With a new LCD colour display, new G-Keys, plus customer lighting across the board, the G19 gaming keyboard is the master of gaming equipment.

Most of those don’t come cheaply. If you’re on the hunt for some lower priced gadgets, you can still find some great gadgets at resonable prices. Gadgets like digital photo albums plus LED shower heads are great fun to have. If you are looking for something more practical, binary clocks are great gifts.

October brings us more than Halloween as it also brings in the first real countdown to the Christmas holidays which of course means Christmas itself. Is it not too early to be thinking about Christmas and shopping around and all the stress that comes with it? Well no, because believe it or not, many people have started to use the online stores to purchase gifts already. Figures have shown that it is a highly productive sales period for traders who, at this time, busily maintain and improve their websites to cope with the demand.

The high volume demand is still being enjoyed by the giants of the industry such as Amazon, whose wide variety of products on sale make it easy for consumers to buy anything from white goods, and electrical products to clothing and books.

There are many markets out there with items that when first thinking of you wouldnt think to buy for a close relative at all. Would you buy someone a telephone from one of the amazing range of funky retro phones that are available? The phones themself are popular because they appeal to anyone who loves a bit of nostalgia. These retro phones may have retro in the name but they actually look pretty modern and cool in the home which is why you should think about getting one.

There are actually quite a few people out there who enjoy collecting buddhas. These small little minitures will often sit on top of a fireplace where they show off their amazing tranquillity.

Why not try giving a nice new hot water bottle to someone who would appreciate it this Christmas. These products seem to have come back into play again after not being bought in a long while. I can remember when I was younger, and living at home, the hot water bottles were a functional item that went unseen for most of the year. However the bottle never seemed to come out even in the coldest of nights!

Its really hit and miss sometimes how smoothly bath times go with children. Kids dont often enjoy being cleaned and unless bath time is made to be fun, they will make such a fuss youll regret putting them in the bath in the first place. There are some great bath toys that can supplement bathing perfectly and get everyone enjoying themselves, here are the best 3.

Rubber ducky. Baths should come with a rubber duck in them as standard. Its still the best selling bath toy around and its easy to see why. Its bright colors and ability to squeak or spurt water are great fun and the fact it is an animal adds another element of interaction with the toy. They’re simple but perfect, so make sure you have a few. They also make great gifts for men who don’t like baths, as it will take them right back to their childhood and they wont be able to resist having a splash.

Squirters. If your rubber duck comes without a water squirter then its worth getting a separate one. Most kids loving playing with water guns and squirters and if they can do it in a safe and suitable place, no one gets annoyed. Its also a great method to get your child clean and its always a bit of fun getting squirted and they won’t object anywhere near as much as they do when you try and sponge them down. Just fill up the squirter and give them a good wash down with it.

Sticky numbers. There can often be more to bathing than just playing. Kids learn best when they are relaxed and enjoying themselves so its good to have plenty of learning toys or educational toys to use in the bath as well. There are a variety of toys on the market that can be used in water, one of which are the big inflatable letters. The best choice though are the foam sticky numbers. These not only help with mathematics but also teach kids about surface tension and friction when the stick the number to the side of the bath. Also, check out this site for great gifts for women

Originally dolls houses were actually aimed more at the grownups than children! It was a hobby of affluent people in society to collect “baby houses” as they were known back in the late 17th and 18th centuries.

They were often made to actually fit inside a cabinet. It would have the appearance on the outside of an ordinary piece of furniture but when it was opened it revealed an impressive dolls house with many rooms. On the inside there would be furniture all scaled down to size and the craftsmanship was of the highest standards.

The dolls which were usually made of wood or wax are extremely collectible toys today.

Antique wax dolls were usually made by pouring melted wax into a mould. Wax does’nt really seem to be the best material for making dolls but they were less fragile than bisque or china and it could be tinted to give the doll a beautiful and realistic skin tone.

It is often quite difficult to accurately date these dolls because they were hard to mark and the only way they could do this was by labelling them.

It was in the 19th century that “baby houses” began to be known as dolls houses and were often found in nurseries of the children belonging to wealthy families.

They were often furnished with exquisite needlepoint rugs and couches upholstered in silk. The furniture was more often than not made of fine wood and was accurately cut down to scale.

By the end of the 19th century the dolls were made of bisque and glazed china. The attention to detail was astounding and often the dolls were even equipped with their own gloves, purses, fans and even sewing kits! This made them very easy to personalise and the accessories became very popular gifts for her.

In recent times plastic and metal dolls houses were introduced but it is the amazing craftsmanship of the early “baby houses” which have stood the test of time that will remain firm favourites with miniature collectors today.

It’s been a dozen years since my family has been living in our house, and its true to say that some of the interiors are in serious need for some TLC.

Unfortunately it would seem that both the bathroom and kitchen have reached the point of no return and now a total revamp is probably going to be required.

The question is where is the best place to start? At the moment there appears to be a vast amount of kitchens and bathrooms available. Should you just go for the wow factor, maybe choose a traditional theme, or perhaps go for a modern style?

Currently some of our local DIY shops are offering great deals on their kitchens and bathrooms, but is buying at the local DIY store always the best decision?

Maybe you might be best suited buying direct from a specialist company. At the moment it would appear that a lot of the larger companies have some absolutely great deals on offer. If you want you can choose Interest Free payments over a 2 year period, maybe you could get all of your electrical appliances thrown into the deal for the kitchen. With the current economic market, the choice is yours and if you shop around you will be able to play one company against another, ensuring you get the best deals possible.

Please bear in mind that even though you may seem to be getting an absolute bargain, these companies are still making a profit out of you. Why not push that little bit harder to see how far they will drop their prices, you have nothing to loose by trying.

Another important consideration when revamping any room is accessories. Ethical kitchen accessories can make or break a room. They have to enhance the room and blend in with the style you have chosen for your kitchen. The bathroom is a bit of a simpler room to decorate. Bathroom accessories are pretty easy to mix and match or change periodically.

The problem we will have is by decorating both the kitchen and bathroom our lounge is going to look a bit old and tired. Probably we could just invest in some ethical homeware. Having these would certainly brighten up the room and would not have to cost a fortune. With all this going on at home, it looks like it is going to be a busy couple of months ahead.

You already have a pool right? If you have a pool then you are quite lucky.

Of course the places that contain warmer climates have pools and games around the pool can really play a major part in bringing up kids. There are many products out there for people without kids. Just a few ideas thrown in when it comes to looking for swimming pool parts

Underwater Disco Light

A great item for a pool party. It fits under the pool to make up a nice dancing area. The sad thing is that it is a nightime product!

The Light Goggles

This can come in useful when helping the kids out at night. This could be something worthwhile as a lot of people cannot manage to swim during the lighter hours of the day due to school then homework and dinner which is where this awesome mask comes in. These are great for the kids if the pool lights are not working.

How about a Rainbow Fish

Clear your pool filters out for this one as this is a lifelike fish that will actually swim around your pool. This is a really good idea for kids who are learning about the sea creatures as you can show them just how a fish swims around and teach them not to be frightened.

Only a few ideas there for you.

Swimming pool chemicals can also be very important as you need to keep the pool clean at all times to avoid anyone getting ill whilst swimming, on top of this putting too much in could hurt somebody swimming.

Mexico entices couples with its warm, sunny weather, colourful culture, far reaching coastline, spicy cuisine plus great choice of accommodation.
Position 2 – Jamaica
An abundant island, Jamaica has beaches, waterfalls and mountains to explore. There are so many all inclusive holiday deals here than anywhere else in the Caribbean and so it is no wonder that its such a popular venue to go with couples who want a wedding abroad followed by a beach honeymoon
Position 3 Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic has not only fine boutique hotels and competitive all inclusive holiday deals.
Position 4 The Bahamas
Just off the coast of Florida lies the beautiful Bahamas, offering couples everything from excitement to total relaxation, depending on whether they go for Nassau, Freeport, Paradise and Grand Bahama Island or one of the lower key Out Islands.
Position 5 Hawaii
Bearing in mind that it is a long flight to Hawaii from just about anywhere, it is still a fact that couples flock to these beautiful islands in order to have a memorable wedding in one of the most spectacular places on earth.
Position 6 United States USV1
As a United States territory, it could not be easier to get married in the USVI. Couples are able to island hop from St. John, which is an enormous nature preserve, to St. Croix, which is really a shopaholics dream.
Position 7 Aruba
This is south of the hurricane zone which makes it dry. Wedding couples are welcomed at any time of the year. Its clean, wide sweeping beaches are an attraction to lovers by day and its dozen or more casinos keep the action going till way into the night.
Position 8 Fiji
Beautiful and exotic Fiji, with its gentle culture and castaway island charm, is the choice of many couples who crave an unusual getaway from it all wedding destination.
Position 9 A Cruise
Surprisingly wedding cruises can be within peoples means. They give the couple an opportunity to sail on their honeymoon to several different ports immediately following their wedding. Most cruise ships have special wedding chapels and can port side weddings can be arranged.
Position 10 Castle Wedding
Many women have always dreamed of getting married in a castle or a maybe a big stately home. Well it need not be a dream because there are a lot of places in the United Kingdom offering this service now. You will need to meet a few requirements, but it is perfectly possible to have your dream wedding venue in a castle!

Whether your wedding location is exotic or traditional, my advice is to really make sure you get a great wedding photographer in your area to ensure you remember your special day in the best possible light. You may want to look for a photographer who can offer a stylish wedding photo books and be sure to compare wedding photography packages before you decide. Good luck!

Not many women know that besides the shape of your face there is also another factor that you should look into before you decide on a new hairstyle for yourself the type of your body.Tendencies increases for perfect hairstyles. Out of the two, I would say that the shape of your face is the truly important one, but that doesnt mean the type of your body doesnt make a difference, as it does, but you wont be able to notice it like the others. The way your shoulders look and the type of your body may at times be crucial for picking the best hairstyle for you.

Different hairstyles could either look good or bad depending on your body type, even though there are a few haircuts that look good on a number of body types. If you are familiar with your body type the following part of the article might be useful to you. But you cannot|can’t|could not make mistake by making great Jenifer Aniston haircuts. Its not hard to check which type is your body in case you dont know already. You can find a number of good examples here that I stumbled upon online. In case you are of slim built go for a short and asymmetric hair style. It is also said that long hair, preferably with less volume, elongates the figure and that therefore those hairstyles are just perfect for apple-shaped women.

More volume and long hair styles will look best on you if you have a pear-shaped body. Women of tall or athletic built shouldnt mess around with ultra short hairstyles as the effect will rarely look satisfying. Some people think that tall and athletic women can handle every hairstyle, but I dont think that is true.

As for petite women, it is a common knowledge that wavy hairstyles of medium length look the best on them, but some say that short hair cuts also look very well. I am sure there are many exceptions and that many different women look great with some hairstyles regardless of their body type. Instead of believing what you hear or read its best to try it out yourself stand in front of a mirror that can reflect your whole body and get a cheap wig similar to the hair style that you want to go with and see if it actually looks good on your body or not. I personally like to have a peak of what I might end up looking like.
